Dr Kavita Krishnan is a medical doctor who specialises in maternal and infant health, providing holistic, patient centred support. She has over 15 years experience as a doctor, initially working in Paediatrics, before moving to General Practice. Dr Krishnan is dedicated to improving antenatal breastfeeding and infant education to empower parents to make informed choices.
With over 15 years experience as a doctor, Dr Kavita Krishnan specialises in maternal and infant health, providing holistic, patient centred support. After starting her career in Paediatrics, she transitioned into General Practice, where she is dedicated to improving antenatal breastfeeding and infant education to empower parents to make informed choices.
Dr Kavita is also passionate about improving breastfeeding support and education. She is a Lactation Consultant, certified in the Thompson Breastfeeding method and is a member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. She is experienced in the model of Neuroprotective Developmental Care and is a Possums NDC Practitioner.
Breastfeeding issues and baby’s weight were often triggers for maternal postpartum depression and anxiety. Using her medical knowledge and deep sense of empathy, Dr Kavita creates a caring and supportive environment where families can feel supported as they navigate the challenges of early parenthood.
She has helped thousands of families over the years with evidence based information, support, knowledge, and guidance. She wants to empower and help parents regain confidence in their own skills as they embark upon the journey of parenthood.
